Our Story
Child at Street 11 was founded by volunteers, registered in 1995 and opened in 1999 on Street 11 of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3.
A survey of nearby families found many young children staying home because childcare was out of reach. The founders believed a strong early education shapes a whole life, so they built a school where each family pays what it can, and every child receives the same high-quality programme.

What Makes Us Distinctive
In Dialogue With Reggio Children
Our practice draws on the schools of Reggio Emilia, and we remain in conversation with Reggio Children in Italy.
Real Collaborators
Children create alongside professionals: orchestra conductors, dancers, engineers and scientists.
A Long Partnership With UWCSEA
Students from United World College of South East Asia visit every week, and our children visit their kindergarten classes.
A Vegetarian, Slow-Food Kitchen
Fresh, vegetarian meals cooked on site, so children understand and enjoy where their food comes from.
Our Commitment to Inclusion
Admission is need-blind: any child can apply for our programmes, whatever the family’s circumstances.
Children with special rights, often called special needs elsewhere, learn in the same classrooms as their friends. Families of every race and nationality are welcome.

CookWith the Centre since April 2012. Cooks every meal with attention to fresh ingredients and how food is presented.
